Open Location Platform
HERE is a mapping and location company, primarily serving the automotive, logistics and media industries. I joined the company through the acquisition of Medio in 2014, and transitioned my team to support the growing platform team. Shortly after acquiring Medio, Nokia divested their mapping and location business, and HERE was acquired by a consortium of car manufacturers (Audi, BMW and Daimler). I was selected by the executive leadership team to lead product marketing for the strategic launch of the Open Location Platform (OLP).
- Led product marketing during the early stages of development of the OLP. Shepherded the product from a kernel of an idea into the commercial launch of a fully realized enterprise-grade data platform.
- Acted as a conduit between product, development, enterprise sales and central marketing to articulate and refine product messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation.
- Planned and executed OLP’s go-to-market activities, including the development of product demos, use-case videos, and tradeshow experiences at Mobile World Congress and CES. Collaborated with HERE’s world-wide sales organization to onboard early proof-of-concept customers.
